About us

Sylvan Learning of Westman is a locally owned tutoring centre that provides a safe, engaging & inclusive environment. We offer tutoring services that are individualized to each student. We provide assessments to see where the students are & base their personalized lessons on the results. We offer a 1:1, 2:1 & 3:1 ratio.

Sylvan Learning has been around for 40 plus years & has a very high success rate!

_Duties
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to students
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Assess and evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional materials
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills_

_Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
- Valid teaching certification or proof of education
- Strong knowledge of subject matter and curriculum standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with students
- Familiarity with educational technology and digital learning tools_

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 - 20 per week
