About these roles:



Carrying out the professional duties of a teacher in accordance with the school's policies under the direction of the Head of School Designing and implementing long range plans and unit plans that demonstrate creativity, cross curricular connections and a focus on enrichment of curricular topics Demonstrating effective teaching practices that include differentiated instruction to remediate and enrich student learning Working in a collaborative, caring environment Responsible for all aspects of curriculum delivery, assessment, communication with student and parent(s)

About you:



Autonomy for your own individual teaching structure and style Ability to assess, monitor and report on student progress Empathetic and dedicated to students' learning, growth and development Commitment to engage, challenge and inspire young learners Able to effectively manage and foster a positive learning environment Excellent verbal and written communication. Demonstrated ability to think creatively, differentiate instruction and use innovative teaching practices Good communication skills with parents, students, and co-workers in a respectful and supportive manner Flexibility, accountability and integrity

Experience:



2 years teaching experience preferred

Education:



Honours BA/B.Sc. B.Ed. preferred. A member in good standing of the Ontario College of Teachers or an equivalent.

Salary:

salary is commensurate with experience

All teachers/educators of The Oxford School must be able to provide a satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check report.

Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
