Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools is inviting applications for the 1.0 position of Teacher on Assignment for the 2024 - 2025 school year. The Teacher on Assignment is a member of the Student and Learning Services Team within Greater Saskatoon Catholic Schools. The successful candidate will collaborate with school teams and provide job-embedded support to assist with programming for students who are accessing specialized and intensive support within the Student Learning Model.The role of the Teacher on Assignment will be to:

• Collaborate with Student and Learning Services Coordinators to provide support for students, families, and school teams
• Collaborate with school teams to assess learning needs and structure a learning support strategy that builds student confidence and success in their community school
• Support school teams in implementing strategies/interventions in the classroom for specific students through job-embedded professional learning
• Support school teams in the actualization of inclusion within the Student Learning Model with a focus on specialized and intensive programming and support

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Must hold a Professional A Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate
• Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in Special Education
• Post secondary education in Special Education
• Ability to make contributions to an integrated team of professionals as well as provide leadership in the area of student engagement and culturally responsive school practices
• Demonstrate flexibility to prioritize and respond to the emerging social emotional needs of students
• Demonstrate an understanding of First Nations, M\xc3\xa9tis and Inuit World View
• Ability to facilitate professional development with a focus on engagement, differentiation, and resilience
