AT Sylvan, your primary responsibility is teaching. There will be no lesson planning, report card writing, or meeting with parents. You will be trained on the Sylvan curriculum and given the tools to teach for success.

We have instructions Monday to Friday 3-7pm and and Saturdays from 9am - 1 pm. We are looking for a part-time instructor who can teach minimum two days a week. The ideal Sylvan teacher is compassionate about teaching and understands that most students who attend Sylvan need to improve their academic skills and, more importantly, their self-confidence.

A Sylvan teacher will need to:

Have a Bachelor degree or be working towards one

Be fluent in English

Supervise, interact with, and motivate students during instruction

Inspire and communicate with students from a variety of cultural backgrounds and learning environments

Evaluate and document student progress

Communicate student needs to the center program manager

Have previous teaching/tutoring experience
