The Phoenix Foundation School is centrally located in Calgary and has been around for almost 20 years. We are a non-profit private school that does not charge a tuition (we are funded by Alberta Education - 1/3 of a public school) and specializes in BLENDED learning - actually we are the recognized pioneers in this model - Students are at school part-time, online part time and out in the community part time.

Our mission is to offer unique learning opportunities for the family so that each young person can develop into a life-long learner and an active global citizen.

We are looking for someone who understands this model, enjoys teaching teenagers and can work cooperatively with the rest of the team to deliver an outstanding program for students. Many of our staff have been with us from the start! And we hope you will be with us for the next 20 years! :-)

This engaging 2 Day teaching position is for 12 hours a week onsite. Small class sizes (6-10 kids). Wednesdays and Fridays all day. Wednesdays you would be teaching Gr. 7/8/9 Science. Fridays involve some in-person teaching on specific dates, otherwise it is for online assignment creation, prep, marking, office hours for PSI (Private student instruction).
