Job Description

As a French as a Second Language teacher, you will be responsible for teaching French to non-native French learners. You will use effective teaching methods to facilitate the learning of the French language, taking into account the specific needs and skill levels of the students.
Location: LCI Education Language School
Status: Specified 4-week contract
Salary: Between $23.56 and $25.75/hour
Timetables:

Weekend classes (Saturday/Sunday) from 1 pm to 3 pm - 100% online

And/Or

Evening classes (Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday) from 6 pm to 8:30 pm - face-to-face

RESPONSIBILITIES

Plan courses;
Deliver courses in a dynamic, effective and structured manner;
Administer and correct evaluations;
Monitor each student and encourage success;
Be available for monthly paid teacher meetings and regular professional development opportunities offered by LAB;
Other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
Hold a bachelor's degree;
Recognized certificate from TESL Canada or equivalent;
More than one year of full-time FSL teaching experience in Canada preferred;

Fluency in the French language (oral and written).

This role involves frequent interactions with internal and external customers and partners on a national and global scale. Professional proficiency in English is therefore a requirement for this role.
