Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled TCP (Traffic Control Person) to join our construction team. This role is essential for ensuring safety and efficiency on construction sites, particularly those involving heavy equipment operation and paving projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction safety protocols and the ability to coordinate traffic flow around active work zones. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects while developing valuable skills in construction management and site safety.

Duties

Direct and control traffic around construction zones to ensure the safety of workers and the public Operate or assist with the operation of heavy equipment as needed for site setup and maintenance Assist with paving operations, including setting up barriers and signage for paving crews Communicate effectively with construction teams to coordinate activities and ensure smooth workflow Maintain clear signage and barricades in accordance with safety regulations Monitor work zones continuously for potential hazards and report issues promptly Support general construction activities as required, including material handling and site cleanup

Skills

Experience or familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred Knowledge of paving processes and construction site safety protocols is a plus Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and ensure clear instructions Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment Physical stamina to stand, walk, or assist with equipment operation throughout shifts

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
