POSITION DESCRIPTION




This teaching position requires an individual who embraces our divisional Multi Year Strategic Plan through collaboration and


effective and inclusive educational practices that are student centred and data driven. Consideration may be given to divide the


position into part-time opportunities.




The itinerant support teacher will be a member of the staff at multiple schools and will be expected to demonstrate strong


collaboration and interpersonal skills. This position will support teaching and learning across designated school sites. The


successful candidate will work with a variety of staff and student groups and will be assigned to schools as needed to provide


coverage during teacher absences.

o Demonstrates use of assessment data to inform instruction.

o Ability to make connections between MYSP and their professional learning.


o Ability to critically reflect on practice to inform professional growth, particularly around inclusive programming.

QUALIFICATIONS & CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT



o Manitoba Teaching Certificate is preferred.


Knowledge, training, and experience in childcare; child development; understanding of diverse learners; and basic curriculum familiarity. A degree or degree in progress is preferred.


Satisfactory Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search. Clear report from the Child Abuse Registry. Respect In School or Commit to Kids certification. Review and comply with divisional policies and guidelines.
