Job Title: Tax Reporting Analyst
Location: Toronto, ON
Length of Assignment: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $60,000-$75,000/year

Responsibilities:

• Supports the quarterly reporting process external, financial reporting including review and analysis of such reports.
• Generates and compiles data from multiple sources for IFRS financials
• Monitors & processes payment requests and prepares related journal entries
• Contributes in successful transition to IFRS reporting process
• Completes responses/submissions for key regulatory surveys from various agencies
• Responsible in creating the base balance sheet and income statement to build the quarterly capital forecast
• Supports other areas of quarterly & long-term capital forecasting process
• Prepares ad hoc analysis and data requests from business units
• Prepares various reports and analysis for reporting
• Completes various tax reporting requirements to ensure compliance with applicable filings & remittances for income & indirect taxes
• Prepares calculation and payment requests relating to income & indirect taxes' installments and related journal entries
• Manages delivery of various schedules and reports for different audits
• Involvement in major finance projects
• Proactively identify improvements in data, processes, and controls within regulatory reporting
• Actively participates in cross functional/departmental projects

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in commerce in accounting or finance
• CPA designation preferred
• Minimum 3 years previous accounting experience
• Ability to work with large volumes of data using Excel
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Working knowledge of Power BI reporting tool is an asset
• Ability to handle a large volume of information and accurate management of large datasets along
• Looks for opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy by standardizing procedures
