Job Description
Tax 2000 Truro seeks to hire two Tax Preparers for the 2023 tax season.Located in the Truro Mall, Tax 2000 personal income tax preparation service provider is looking to add to our team.Details
- $15.50 - $17.50 per hour - depending on experience
- Full time days
- Overtime as needed to meet deadlines
- Main focus will be to prepare and file personal income taxes
- Secondary focus will be running the reception desk to welcome and register customers
- Answer phones, filing, receiving payments in cash and debit, writing receipts, making appointments, email correspondence
- Other office duties as required
- 3 or more years of recent experience preparing tax returns for clients/customers, using commercial tax preparation software, preferably Cantax
- Solid understanding of Canada tax code
- Proficient with technology; solid knowledge of computer operations and software
- Exceptional financial skills
- Good communication skills (written & spoken)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Excellent customer service
- Day shift
- Monday to Saturday
- Diploma of College Studies or University Degree
- Tax Preparation: 3 years (required)
- Cantax: 3 years (preferred software)
- Administrative: 2 years (required)
- Financial services: 2 years (preferred)
Contract length: 4.5 monthsSalary: $15.50-$17.50 per hourAdditional pay:
- Bonus pay
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
