We are seeking a Tax Manager to work in a public accounting firm. This role entails overseeing all facets of personal, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns for clients across various industries. The successful candidate will collaborate with a team of experts to serve our current clients and contribute to the firm\xe2\x80\x99s growth through ongoing business and special tax projects.Responsibilities:

• Establishes and maintains relationships with client management as a year-round contact.
• Understands client operations, key performance drivers, business trends, and industry developments.
• Offers consultative services and identifies sales and cross-sales opportunities with existing clients.
• Engages in business development and promotional activities.
• Reviews and prepares complex tax returns (T1, T2, T3) and supervises junior staff.
• Manages internal projects, such as personal tax season, and provides resources for assurance staff.
• Develops and implements tax planning strategies and reviews tax elections and filings.
• Assists in recruiting, training, coaching, and evaluating junior staff.

Requirements and skills:

• 6+ years of experience in public practice, ideally with a mid-sized accounting firm.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in tax-related roles.
• Completed the second part of the CPA Canada In-depth Tax Course.
• CPA or an equivalent professional designation.
• Holds a post-secondary degree in business or finance.
