Job Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Clerk to work in the Machinery Manufacturing industry, whose duties will be matching invoices to purchase orders/ vouchers, data entry, and assisting with Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R). Major responsibilities

- Standard accounting: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects

- Upload financial information to journals and ledgers

- Work with Accounts Receivable: process daily invoices/credit, apply cash receipt, and help with collection of past due balance

- Resolve discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required

- Classify documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of accounting codes and expenditure codes

- Prepare statements and reports that require utilization of a number of sources

- Assist Accounts Payable: A/P invoice matching & filing, vendor invoices and disbursement filing
- Auditing experience highly preferred

- Adeptness in supervising

- CPA experience highly desired

- Practical knowledge of Workstation Support

- Company Policy experience desired

- Previous experience working with account reconciliation

- Earlier work involving Quarterly

- Good understanding of Perform Ad Hoc Financial

- Foundational knowledge in Answering Inbound Calls

- Prior experience with Adjustments

- Comprehension of Communication Skills

- Foundational knowledge in Onsite

- Deep understanding of training

- Experience with Coordinating Appointments

- General familiarity with finance

- Demonstrated knowledge of About Time

- Journal entries experience highly valued

- Deep understanding of Computer Skills

- Payment Processing experience highly desired

- Hands-on experience with taxes

- Expertise in Microsoft Excel

- Reporting experience desired

- Expertise in variance analysis

- Resolve Issues experience preferred

- Background working with reconciliations

- Experience with high volume data entry

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- experience in in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred
