Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced

Tax Accountant

to join our financial team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax preparation, compliance, and planning for Canada and US , with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements. The Tax Accountant will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial data management and adherence to applicable laws and standards.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review monhtly filing for Canadian GST/HST and provincial sales taxes Assist with various US states tax requirements as needed Provide advisory services for clients to optimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with current regulations. Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to tax filings. Reconcile general ledger accounts related to taxes, including balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis. Utilize accounting software such as Oracle Netsuite, Avalara tax. Assist with regulatory reporting requirements and maintain proper documentation for audits.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred. Proven experience in tax accounting, public accounting, or corporate accounting roles with a focus on tax experience. Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle Netsuite or similar platforms; familiarity with financial software used for regulatory reporting is advantageous. Solid understanding of GAAP principles, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and financial concepts Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail; ability to perform account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. Pay: $85.00-$95.00 per hour
