The Tax Accountant is responsible for financial reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role plays a critical part in supporting financial decisions and ensuring transparency in financial operations. This is a temporary position to cover for a maternity Leave (minimum 12-18 month duration).

How you create impact

Provide support on Canadian direct and indirect tax matters, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal policies. Assist with quarterly tax reporting to meet internal Kuehne + Nagel requirements. Support the preparation and filing of Canadian tax returns, including Income Tax, GST/HST, and QST. Collaborate and oversee Canadian tax responsibilities, contributing to Kuehne+Nagel's expanding presence in the Canadian market.

What we would like you to bring

CPA (or equivalent) 2+ years of experience handling various tax duties including Canadian income tax, sales tax, invoicing, monthly returns, daily tax compliance, and exposure to tax audits. Industry experience (preferably service industry) or international advisory industry.
