. As the sales associate you are the on-site face of Painted Rock, welcoming guests to the property, educating and guiding customers through our portfolio of wines and always providing exceptional customer service from start to finish.
You will be a part of the daily interactions with our guests and ensure the wine shop is clean, organized and best representing Painted Rock. With the ebb and flow of daily visitors, you will need to be efficient, able to multi-task, and have exceptional customer service skills.
Responsibilities
Greeting all visitors, educating them on Painted Rock wines and guiding them through the tasting experience
Setting up the wine shop each day. Ensuring the tasting room and grounds are clean, organized, and ready to welcome all guests
Provide necessary sales information and process all sales through our point-of-sale system (Commerce7)
Answering telephone and making reservations through our Tock reservation system
Educating and inviting visitors to join the Wine Club
Perform all nightly procedures, including inventory count, any necessary cleaning and lock-up
Assist with charcuterie preparation and service during wine tastings, along with lounge service on our patio
Desired Skills
Knowledge of wine and passion for the industry - formal training preferred
Previous experience in boutique, premium wine sales and/or hospitality is considered an asset
Must be 19 years of age, have a Serving it Right Certificate & Food Safe Certificate
Experience with Wine Direct and Tock reservation system or enthusiasm to learn
Must be able to meet physical needs of the position including the ability to lift 40lbs and able to stand for extended periods of time
Must have open availability to work weekends, holidays and the occasional event as needed
Compensation:
Hourly rate dependent on level of experience. Tip opportunities available.
