Shifts Offered:

5 days a week (4 can also be accommodated), 10:30-5:30 shifts.

About Us



French Door Estate Winery is a small, family-owned business in Oliver, BC. Founded in 2019, we are located on the beautiful Black Sage Bench, South of the town of Oliver. Terroir, sustainability and passion is our philosophy all the way from soil to glass. Our 10-acre property is planted with 100% vinifera vines on beautiful, expressive soils that have resulted in rich, lush, and character driven wines.

About the Role



You will provide premium, elevated tasting experiences for our guests in our beautiful tasting room for the 2025 season. We have guests from all over the world that travel to the Okanagan to experience the incredible wine, food, and natural beauty of our valley, and many repeat customers and valued guests.

Our Tasting Room Associates guide our customers through a seated tasting experience of 5 pre-selected wines, discuss winemaking practices, vinification, and the stories behind each wine. We have in depth training for our associates and continue to educate throughout the season on what is happening in our cellar & vineyard, and provide a truly special experience for our guests.

Duties and skills include



Greeting guests upon arrival, or by phone if necessary. Checking guests in reservation system Provide seated wine tastings, 30-45 minutes Provide an educational experience promoting and selling French Door wines. Promote Wine Club memberships to guests and process club sign-ups. Responsible for sales transactions. This includes taking payment, packing orders, and helping guests by carrying out their orders to their cars. Multi-tasking, organizing, cleaning, re-stocking. Perform various cleaning duties including but not limited to: re-setting tables, washing, polishing and restocking glassware, cleaning washrooms and general housekeeping of the Wine Shop (floors, windows, watering plants, garbage and recycle, etc.). Being mindful of the tasting room, restrooms, and outside areas, completing general clean-up of all guest areas throughout the day.

Mandatory qualifications



Serving It Right Weekend availability including stat holidays throughout the season. Wine knowledge an asset (WSET or similar) 19 years of age at a minimum Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs (a typical case of wine) Ability to work outside and be on your feet for extended periods of time (6 to 8 hours)

Personal Qualifications



Friendly and polite nature that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Provide excellence in guest services at all times Serving experience is an asset French, Spanish or other spoken languages are an asset Responsible and committed A love for wine and a thirst for knowledge

Compensation



Hourly Wage: $22/hr plus generous gratuities Wine allowance Staff discount
