Job Description

In this role we are looking for someone with hospitality experience and is looking to take the next step in their hospitality career to join our Collective Arts spaces leadership team. This role will work directly with the Acting Spaces Lead and the Toronto Taproom team and to ensure customer service standards are met. You will serve as the day to day leader of the space where you will be responsible for solving customer and facility issues while ensuring smooth daily operations. You will be in charge of managing staff coverage, inventory levels, supporting events, and ensuring menu and POS systems are updated.

A typical day as Taproom Supervisor, Toronto includes:



Serving as the day to day lead of the space when other leaders or Supervisors are not present Solving customer, facility, and patio issues quickly and effectively. Leading the team in delivering exceptional hospitality and guest experiences. Maintaining cleanliness and order throughout the Taproom and patio spaces. Managing staff coverage to ensure smooth daily operations and service standards are consistently met. Collaborating with kitchen team to ensure smooth service, clear communication, and a seamless guest experience across food programming Working with the Marketing & Acting Spaces Lead to plan private events and regular programming. Monitoring and maintaining beverage inventory levels, coordinating with Supply Chain team and outside vendors to ensure the Taproom is always stocked and ready for service Providing excellent customer service while leading by example on the floor. Managing the daily cash flow program, including tills, floats, and safe balances. Ensuring menu boards, POS systems, and ordering apps are accurate and up to date. Coaching employees on product knowledge, brand standards, and service expectations. Communicating staff and store needs to the Leadership team and assisting with ongoing training.

How your time will be organized:



Leading the team through service (45%):

Acting as floor leader, supporting the taproom, and ensuring Collective Arts' hospitality standards are consistently delivered.

Operational upkeep & inventory management (25%):

Managing the daily cleaning schedule, organizing the space and stock levels

Admin (20%):

Managing scheduling, cash flow, tip outs and safe operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Team coaching & brand development (10%):

Training and mentoring staff on service standards, product knowledge, and the Collective Arts brand experience.

We're looking for candidates who:



2+ years of experience in hospitality with a proven track record of working in both the front and back of house A strong customer service track record Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills with the ability to handle customer and facility issues calmly and efficiently. Knowledge of organizational and cleanliness standards by maintaining high cleanliness and organizational standards Experience with POS systems and cash handling, including managing daily transactions, cash flow, and ensuring accuracy in menu updates Previous experience with Toast POS is considered an asset G License with reliable access to a vehicle may be required

Bonus points if you:



Have restaurant leadership experience Know how to disassemble, clean and reassemble draught systems and parts Have formal beer training, (cicerone, prud'homme) or brewery work experience

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
