Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle heavy equipment.

Duties

Safely operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo details in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Perform basic maintenance and automotive repair on the vehicle as needed. Operate forklifts or other heavy equipment for loading/unloading tasks when required.

Skills

Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License). Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and regulations. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Basic automotive repair skills for routine maintenance tasks. Proficiency in operating forklifts for loading/unloading operations. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding safety protocols and documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00-$47.00 per hour
