You should have a deep understanding of Indian cuisine, especially North Indian and Hyderabadi specialties, and a passion for delivering authentic flavors with precision.
Key Responsibilities
:
Prepare, cook, and present dishes from the tandoor (oven), including tandoori chicken, kebabs, naan, roti, and other tandoor specialties.
Ensure the tandoor is consistently maintained at the appropriate temperature for cooking.
Marinate meats and vegetables according to traditional recipes and health standards.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen.
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure dishes are prepared in a timely manner and meet quality standards.
Monitor stock levels of tandoor ingredients and place orders as necessary.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control.
Requirements
:
Proven experience as a Tandoor Chef in a high-quality Indian restaurant.
Expertise in operating a tandoor oven and preparing tandoori dishes.
Deep knowledge of Indian spices, marinades, and cooking techniques.
Strong attention to detail and passion for authentic Indian cuisine.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders efficiently.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
Commitment to maintaining kitchen hygiene and food safety standards.
