Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of freight handling, commercial driving, and heavy equipment operation. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring that our operations run smoothly and that our customers receive their products on time.

Responsibilities

Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes taken, and deliveries made. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance. Adhere to all company policies regarding safety, vehicle operation, and customer service.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of freight handling procedures. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, is preferred. Basic knowledge of automotive repair techniques is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
