Job Description
HRN is now accepting resumes for Tandem Dump Truck and Trailer Driver with large earthworks and construction projects experience to work at our site near Norman Wells, NT.
Nuna is the largest Inuit-owned heavy civil construction, earthworks and mine construction contractor in Canada.
We offer:
- 2 week on / 2 week off rotations; 12 hour days
- Competitive hourly rate with Overtime pay (1.5x),

This position is located on our project site located in the Northwest Territories near Norman Wells.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating a tandem dump truck with and without a pup
- Perform pre / post trip daily inspections
- Verifying material loading and ensuring that they do not exceed weight restrictions
- Plan trip Logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Follow all procedures to ensure a safe work environment
- Promptly reporting any accidents, injuries or mechanical faults to management
Qualifications:
Valid Class 1 or 3 Driver\'s License
- 3+ years of commercial driving experience
- Heavy equipment operating skill is a large benefit
- Knowledge of equipment safety
- Knowledge of and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed
