MLSE is looking for a Talent Supervisor to join our Content, Broadcast and Game Presentation team. As the Game Presentation and Broadcast Talent Supervisor you will oversee the administrative and logistical operations for our talent along with assisting in the mobilizing of the training and development of our current and evolving talent roster while liaising with talent coaches and mentors to support our talents growth and advancement. With a thorough understanding of principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, the successful candidate will have the ability to develop, train and engage with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct all talent scheduling and calendar management for various productions (i.e., game presentation, broadcast, digital platforms, NBATVC) and appearances.
  • Coordinate all talent bookings including negotiations, finalizing event details, acquiring all necessary preparation documents and day of logistics
  • Coordinate and administer all contracts, contract management and negotiations while maintaining an up-to-date contract and rate database.
  • Responsible for logistical and administrative operations including but not limited to invoice submissions, payroll, and budget code allocations
  • Strategize, develop, and implement efficient tracking tools for talent, production and game presentation teams
  • Oversee all new hire onboarding in addition to leading all training and development opportunities for both current and incoming talent.
  • Actively scout, attract, and review new and diverse talent; including receiving and assessing all demo reel submissions from novice to experienced talent
  • Work cross-functionally with other internal departments (i.e., broadcasters, MLSE Production, EXT, Partnerships, etc.) to identify available talent for events or appearances.
  • Development of equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives
Qualifications

  • 5 years or proven experience in sport and event production, experience working with talent and producers is an asset
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills with the ability to deliver within a fast-paced, changing environment (experience using Airtable a bonus)
  • Outstanding written, negotiation and verbal communication skills with the ability to connect with all levels of internal and external partners
  • Ability to listen and manage delicate and unexpected situations
  • Excellent ability in attracting and acquiring emerging top talent
  • Fundamental knowledge of EDI principles specific to navigating space, prioritizing the creation of inclusive outcomes and a broad understanding of the unique needs of equity deserving groups
  • A passion for building diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams
