The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Talent Management Student \xe2\x80\x93 Spring 2024 to join our Talent Management Team. This is an 8-month fixed term position.

As a Human Resources Co-op Student, you will have the opportunity to further your development by providing day-to-day support for various projects and initiatives within the Talent Management team. From talent acquisition and career & succession planning to leadership development, diversity & inclusion and culture, you will have a holistic and enriching experience like no other. You will also gain a deeper understanding of our company and our sustainable approach to mining via exposure to other Vale operations in Canada and our global headquarters in Brazil. In this position, you will:

• Support the development and implementation of our Diversity & Inclusion and Culture transformation initiatives
• Assist with the implementation of leadership development programs
• Support with aspects of the career & succession planning process
• Prepare data/analytics to provide insights into trends and patterns for strategic decision-making using Power BI, Excel and other internal systems

About You

Education:

• Currently enrolled as a student in a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-Op) Program.

• Concentration in Human Resources & Labour Relations is preferred.
• Superior verbal, written and analytical communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI)
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Solid interpersonal and facilitation skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
