The role incumbent will support and provide governance and oversight for talent development programs and processes including Talent Analytics & Insights, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Leadership Development, Succession Planning, and supporting Talent Technology, including the Learning Management System. This role is accountable for building and enhancing individual, team, and organizational leadership and performance capability through sound Organizational Development (OD) practices. This includes the design, development and facilitation of effective blended learning strategies and solutions to non-Management, first-mid level Management, and Directors & above. Providing expertise, thought leadership, and coaching on change leadership, team development, and leadership effectiveness. This role will oversee the Learning Management System (LMS) for Sysco \xe2\x80\x93 Canada.Role Responsibilities:

  • Independently or in consultation with other functional experts (in HR and business functions), develops prioritized recommendations that identify the outcomes, methods, and resources required for a successful intervention, along with any dependencies/interdependencies.
  • Research, design, implementation, and evaluation of non-Management, first-mid level Management, and Director+ programs, i.e. executive learning programs, leadership development, high potential program, coaching opportunities, and interventions.
  • Engage and manage external vendors and consultants in the design and delivery of leadership learning solutions and programs.
  • Develop, measure, and monitor performance indicators, ROI, and Data Insights
  • Proactively identify opportunities and recommend solutions that will drive continuous improvement of new and existing learning programs.
  • Design, develop, promote, and deliver diversity and inclusion programs and resources that support the Diversity & Inclusion agenda and Roadmap.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and recommend new and innovative approaches in a variety of delivery channels.
  • Leverages deep talent management, learning & development, and OD expertise, conducts evidence-based diagnosis/needs assessment/root cause analysis activities, including delivery of a credible impact analysis that establishes priorities.
  • Conduct leadership assessments to identify individual, team, & organization level strengths/opportunities
  • Interpret behavioural/psychometric assessments and leverage data to assess and understand personality traits, leadership competencies, and how they impact business results.
  • Lead OD consulting and project work, including group facilitation, to enable organizational/team transformation and change initiatives.
  • Leverages deep talent management, learning & development, and OD expertise, conducts evidence-based diagnosis/needs assessment/root cause analysis activities, including delivery of a credible impact analysis that establishes priorities.

  • Working with the Talent Development VP, provides strategic partnership to Field and Regional Leadership talent development, inclusive of development programming recommendations, movement and promotional opportunities, as well as a keen focus on diversity of pipeline.
  • Coach and mentor HRBPs and leaders in execution of talent development initiatives.
  • Leverage data and insights to facilitate and coach leaders and HR in creating talent action plans, make sound talent decisions, and reinforce a diverse and inclusive culture as it relates to selecting, evaluating, developing and aligning talent to business strategies.
  • Lead HR and Regional leadership teams in the development of talent plans in support of strategic workforce planning and in creating opportunities to deploy and develop talent between departments to develop, retain, and meet succession planning needs.
  • Establish key metrics and analytics; provide insights and recommendations to influence talent strategies and decisions support the design and implementation of talent acquisition and recruitment strategies that position Sysco as an Employer of Choice, brand externally to attract talent, enhances the candidate experience, enables hiring managers to hire the best talent, and builds and inclusive workplace.
  • Support the succession planning processes to understand organizational bench strength as it relates to Top Talent, High Performing Talent, Critical Talent and Critical roles along with succession strategies to build Sysco\xe2\x80\x99s leadership pipeline.
  • Develop a learning and leadership development strategy, framework, and solutions (formal and informal) that supports current and future organizational needs, is sustainable, measurable, and cost effective.
  • Partner with global TD COE/peers to optimize and align on talent programs and systems.
  • Oversee the management of talent technology and systems related to recruitment, learning, and succession, including integrations (Success Factors, Workday, ATS, Infor, etc.)
  • Complies with Sysco\xe2\x80\x99s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
  • 5+ years progressive experience in a leadership and/or executive development role (i.e., OD experience such as organizational analysis, assessments, organizational design, instructional design, optimizing performance, expert facilitation and assessment tools preferred (i.e. MBTI, Hogan, DiSC)
  • Experience in talent management processes.
  • Experience in designing and managing leadership and/or executive development programs.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Organizational Development or Human Resources or IO Psychology an asset
  • Professional designation in Adult Learning or Coaching an asset.
  • Certification in DDI, Hogan, Psychometrics etc. an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Demonstrated Leadership or Organizational D experience such as organizational analysis, assessments, organizational design, instructional design, optimizing performance, expert facilitation and assessment tools preferred (i.e. MBTI, DISC, DDI, Lominger)
  • Experience in talent management processes such as performance management, succession planning, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion.
  • Experience in designing and managing leadership and/or executive development programs (formal and experiential)
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly assess organizational needs/culture and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Aptitude for continuous learning, adapting to shifting priorities, and navigating ambiguous situations.
  • Solutions oriented problem solver who thinks creatively and has a track record of innovative practices.
  • Solid understanding of talent metrics and can use data and analysis to drive performance.
