We are currently seeking a Talent Attraction Specialist to join our team.

The Talent Attraction Specialists acts as a brand ambassador and talent scout to attract and recruit the best candidates in the market, fulfilling current and future hiring needs. The position leads and executes the full-cycle recruitment process from development of recruiting plans and creative sourcing strategies through to onboarding successful candidates. The Specialist participates and may lead some talent acquisition projects and initiatives and establishes strong relationships to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience.

Here\'s what would be included as a part of your typical day * Relationship Building: Partners with hiring managers to forecast staffing requirements. Stays abreast of projected role and skill requirements, upcoming projects and the department\'s priorities. Evaluates current trends, competitive activity, economic factors, and build/update recruiting plans based on that knowledge.

  • Full Cycle Recruitment: Leads the full-cycle recruitment process to source quality candidates for key roles in the organization, leveraging technology, including ATS and social/online media. Support performance leaders with the hiring and on-boarding processes which includes sourcing, screening resumes, interviews and assessments, referencing, offers, system updates, and on-boarding.
  • Recruitment Tools: Researches, designs and implements broad talent acquisition plans and recruitment tools, linking to our employer brand. Contributes to developing and updating recruitment metrics/reporting to support workforce planning analysis.
  • Pipeline Development: Builds and maintains a strong pipeline of potential candidates for key positions. This will be done through market research, social media, job fairs, in-house events, networking, seminars/presentations, and \xe2\x80\x9cKeep in Touch\xe2\x80\x9d programs. Represents the Talent Acquisition team externally in working groups and committees.
  • Student Recruitment: Recruits student/co-op placements through proactive activities at educational institutions.
Required Skills, Experience & Qualifications
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • 3 years\' experience in recruitment of technical and/or professional positions
  • Preferred:
  • 1-2 years\' experience in HR
  • Experience working in financial institution and/or credit union industry
  • Business savvy with an entrepreneurial spirit
  • Excellent relationship building skills with ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with multiple stakeholders
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated coaching, influencing and negotiating skills
  • Willingness to think outside the box and advise on creative new ideas for sourcing key talent
  • Strong recruitment and interviewing skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards (BC, ON, AB) and Human Rights legislation
  • Displays an understanding of risk and risk ownership by being able to demonstrate adherence to policies and procedures.
