About the Role:
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development, the Talent and Workforce Planning Manager is responsible for the oversight of the recruitment activities at Kerry's Place. This manager is involved in the strategic development of and management of human resources components/functions including, but not limited to: recruitment, selection and onboarding of new hires, ATS metrics, delivering recruitment strategy, focusing on sourcing and partnerships, Workforce Management.
The Talent and Workforce Planning Manager, leads the Talent Acquisition team and works collaboratively with the VP's and Managers to assist the Regions to achieve individual, regional and organizational goals related to recruitment - ensuring that best practices in human resources management are adopted to support goal achievement. Responsibilities may include:Supports the Mission, Vision, Values, Principles and Policies and Procedures of Kerry's Place
Collaborates with the VP of HR, HR Directors, Managers and Talent Acquisition Specialists to develop best practices in recruitment and onboarding processes
Monitor, problem solve and improve the effectiveness of talent acquisition functions within the organization
Ensures that work/life balance and health and safety principles are effectively applied through all areas of responsibility for self and team
Attends Regional management meetings as required/appropriate
Develops and implements processes and procedures to ensure that all recruitment needs are proactively met, tracked and analyzed
Ensures accuracy, completion and timely follow-up of documentation related to recruitment required by legislation and organizational policy and procedures
Ensures appropriate confidentiality is maintained for individuals and employees
Develops and maintains positive working relationships with all relevant stakeholders including partner agencies, legal advisors, government employees, Union and community contacts
Collaborate with the VPs, Directors and Managers to develop creative, proactive recruitment and selection strategies to attract the best employees
Provides direction, feedback and support to the Talent Team
Interprets union-management agreements appropriately as they relate to posting and recruitment activities
Acts as chair and co-chair of committees related to areas of responsibility
Provides follow-up to ensure that action plans are implemented
Maintains employee documentation and records
Provides support for other Human Resources Managers and functions
Assists the VP, Human Resources and Quality Management Officer with budget development and budget monitoring
Other duties as assigned
Education Qualifications:
Completion of a university degree or community college diploma (3 years) in Human Resources or other relevant degree field OR
Completion of equivalent training or education complemented by appropriate human resources experience
CHRP designation or equivalent is preferred
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
5-7 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably with experience in the area of talent acquisition
Experience in a management role is preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal, team building/team work skills
Strong organizational and time management
Strong consulting and mentoring abilities along with problem solving and leadership skills
Strong project management, presentation skills and attention to detail
Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations
Working knowledge of software such as: Microsoft Office, Email and HRMS/HRIS systems
Demonstrated flexibility, innovation and creativity
Self-motivated and self-directed with a strong work ethic
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
A valid Driver's License, with a minimum G2 and access to a reliable vehicle is required for business travel
