ABOUT THE TEAM



The HR Services team at RRC Polytech is a collaborative partner to leaders and employes across the college. We deliver programs in strategic HR advisory, talent acquisition, labor and employee relations, classification, compensation, employee experience, and organizational development, ensuring our people practices are fair, inclusive, and future focused. Guided by the college's in front of what's ahead strategy. We strive to create a workplace where every employee feels supported, valued, and empowered to succeed.

WHAT YOU WILL DO



The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides collaborative support across the full recruitment cycle, partnering with leaders to attract, assess, and hire diverse talent. The role develops fair hiring tools, enhances candidate experience, supports workforce planning, and builds strong relationships across the college. It also contributes to onboarding, succession planning, policy development, and EDI initiatives, ensuring the right people, skills, and support system are in place to meet organizational needs across the College.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING


Certificate in Human Resource Management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Strong knowledge and specific human resource experience working in talent acquisition Strong planning and organizational skills to effectively coordinate staffing activity Sounds decision making skills when evaluating candidate fit and making hiring recommendations Detailed-oriented with the ability to manage multiple candidates and competitions in a dynamic workplace Strong research skills to identify talent pools, industry trends and best recruitment practices Strong analytical and critical thinkings skills to assess candidate qualifications, market trends and recruitment strategies Knowledge of legislation, policies and procedures related to human resources and labour relations issues Strong ability to work independently while also being an experienced effective team player who takes initiative Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels of the College Demonstrated competence in leveraging HR analytics to provide evidence-based guidance and advice to clients Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

NICE TO HAVE


Experience working in a bargaining unit environment with knowledge of the collective agreement to provide appropriate interpretation and consultation to management and staff Experience with HR Systems to enable recruitment processes and transactions CPHR designation is nice to have. Candidates actively working towards their CPHR are encouraged to apply Storytelling and employer branding skills for social media and outreach Data literacy and comfort with dashboards, analytics, and forecasting
