These roles offer a unique opportunity to join a dynamic and innovative team dedicated to fostering talent and driving organizational success.What You Will DoAs a Talent Acquisition Specialist at the TTC, you'll be at the forefront of connecting exceptional candidates with exciting opportunities. You'll manage high-volume recruitment efforts from start to finish-while also ensuring that every candidate has a smooth, professional, and engaging experience. Your ability to stay organized and work well under pressure will be key to your success in this dynamic role.

  • Manage high-volume recruitment campaigns - Review applications, assess qualifications, pre-screen, and shortlist top talent efficiently and effectively.
  • Lead interviews and make impactful hiring decisions - Conduct panel interviews, evaluate and identify successful candidates.
  • Own the candidate experience - Guide candidates through the entire recruitment process, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and a positive experience at every stage.
  • Handle recruitment documentation - Prepare and complete all necessary paperwork, ensuring smooth onboarding.
  • Promote TTC career opportunities - Represent TTC at job fairs, outreach events, and through advertising initiatives to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Contribute to Talent Management projects - Participate in various projects and initiatives that enhance recruitment strategies, improve processes, and support overall talent management goals.
  • Ensure compliance and maintain accurate records - Keep all recruitment activities aligned with policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
  • Champion diversity and inclusion - Foster a workplace free from discrimination and barriers, in line with TTC's commitments under the OHRC, AODA, and related policies.
  • Stay organized under pressure - Manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines while delivering high-quality results.
  • Participate in TTC Programs - You will be required to participate in the TTC's Customer Service Ambassador Program.

  • Proven high-volume recruitment experience - You're experienced in juggling multiple roles and filling positions quickly without sacrificing quality.
  • Exceptional organizational skills - You're detail-oriented, efficient, and can keep processes running smoothly even during busy periods.
  • Calm under pressure - You excel at managing competing priorities and tight timelines.
  • Commitment to an excellent candidate experience - You understand the importance of communication, transparency, and professionalism throughout the hiring journey.
  • Confident communication - Whether interviewing candidates or advising stakeholders, you communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Tech-savvy approach - Comfortable using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and HR technology.
  • Strong assessment skills - You have a sharp eye for identifying talent and potential.
  • Commitment to fairness - You integrate diversity, equity, and inclusion principles in every step of your recruitment process.
What You Need:
  • A diploma or degree in Human Resources Management or a related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Several years of recruitment and selection experience, specifically in high-volume hiring environments.
  • Experience delivering a seamless, positive candidate experience.
  • Previous HR experience in a unionized and/or public sector setting is an asset.
  • Familiarity with SAP - Success Factors is a plus.

  • The Talent Management team operates in a hybrid work environment, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-office collaboration. Team members are typically expected to work from our 250 Bloor Street east office a minimum of two days per week. However, on occasion you will be required to participate in TTC events, or work from other TTC locations based on client demands. Our core business hours are 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring alignment and accessibility across the team while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
