As our
Talent Acquisition Specialist
, reporting to the Head of Human Resources, you'll play a central role in shaping the future of our workforce. Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Attracts Top Talent: Manages full-cycle recruitment using innovative sourcing and employer branding to position GO as an employer of choice in Canada.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partners with hiring managers to clarify role needs, align on expectations, and guide recruitment best practices.
Recruitment Process: Leads postings, screenings, interviews, documentation, and compliance for all recruitment activities.
Employer Brand: Promotes GO's culture and values to ensure a positive candidate experience and strong brand presence.
School/Co-op Recruiting: Serves as main contact for student recruitment and coordinates structured co-op programs and events.
Background Checks: Conducts background and credit checks as required for pre-employment.
Offers: Prepares, negotiates, and presents employment offers while ensuring legal communication with all candidates.
Sourcing/Mining: Builds and maintains a proactive talent database from resumes, referrals, and career submissions.
s: Works with managers to keep job descriptions accurate, updated, and compliant with GO standards.
Vendor Collaboration: Manages agency partnerships, ensuring compliance, brand representation, and professional vendor relations.
Market Insight and Adaptation: Tracks industry and labor trends to adjust recruitment strategies and support workforce planning.
Process Improvement: Recommends and implements tools and practices to streamline and optimize talent acquisition.
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
Minimum five (5) years' experience as a recruiter delivering full cycle recruitment with excellent knowledge of recruitment strategies, sourcing best practices and recruitment networking
Is considered a LinkedIn and Indeed expert and is savvy with other forms of modern sourcing
Knowledge of Canadian hiring laws, regulations, and cultural nuances
Highly proficient with social media, CV databases and professional networks
Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
Highly organized and detail-oriented; can prioritize and multi-task while managing multiple tasks and projects
Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization and with external partners and stakeholders
