Talent Acquisition Coordinator (Regular Full Time)

Position Summary:



Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and administration of recruitment at the City of Victoria.


The role will provide support to the Talent Acquisition Specialists through the competitive process and exceptional client service to candidates and hiring managers.


Major Accountabilities:


Providing administrative support to the HR Client Services team\xe2\x80\x99s Talent Acquisition functions, the role\xe2\x80\x99s responsibilities include:

  • Managing employment and recruitment related correspondence including responses to email and phone inquiries
  • Interview scheduling for competitions
  • Recruitment-related reporting, data, and metrics
  • Accurately building, maintaining, and closing competition files
  • Assisting hiring managers in the Staffing Requisition approval process
  • Posting vacancies on internal and external sites, contributing to job ad content
  • Coordinating and completing employment offers
  • Preparing applicant listings and providing hiring panels with appropriate screening, interview, and selection tools
  • Administering pre-employment related testing processes
  • Supporting the pre-employment check process
  • Updating the JDE HRIS system to reflect employee changes occurring through the hiring process
  • Participating in and supporting recruitment duties including interviews and candidate selection
  • Contributing to and leading internal process improvement projects



The Talent Acquisition Coordinator represents the HR Department to other organizations, government agencies, educational institutions and the public including union representatives, as well as other organizations\xe2\x80\x99 HR Departments.


May perform other related activities as required.


Qualifications:


  • Grade 12, Certificate in Office Administration required; a Diploma specializing in Human Resources Management or other progressive post-secondary education in Human Resources is considered an asset
  • At least 2 years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a human resources or related environment
  • Experience using an HRIS and/or Applicant Tracking System is considered an asset



Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 35 hour work week

Pay band 1, $63,140.35 \xe2\x80\x93 $74,283.31
