We are looking for a Talent Acquisition/HR Coordinator with a high emphasis for the administration of recruitment activities and manages the full-cycle recruitment process for multiple positions in diverse business units, from application stage to offer. The talent acquisition coordinator will also provide general HR administrative support to the Human Resources team when required.

This is an office based position at our Administration office at 7015 Macleod Trail S.W.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - TALENT ACQUSITION

  • Leads the Talent Acquisition process and manages the full cycle interview process.
  • Works with the HR Lead and collaborates with hiring managers to define requirements for the job. Contacts applicants, schedules, and coordinates interviews. Identifies and analyzes talent to match skill sets to existing job openings.
  • Discusses candidate selection with hiring leaders to influence employment decisions. Ensures an overall positive candidate/manager experience.
  • Develop, facilitate, and assist with the full cycle recruitment process using behavioral descriptive interviewing (BDI) techniques. Keeps interviewers informed of interview schedule request status via Breezy ATS.
  • Be a strategic advisor and business partner with the respective hiring managers and provide \xe2\x80\x9ctalent acquisition\xe2\x80\x9d coaching and guidance.
  • Develops accurate job descriptions and deploys various pre-screening questions for a variety of positions. Gathers and analyzes information used to develop employment interview questions and other relevant materials that can be used to effectively identify the best candidates for jobs with the hiring Manager.
  • Promotes the company\'s talent management strategy and processes in order to increase business capability and create a high-performance culture.
  • Identify and implement efficient and effective recruitment strategies and processes based on the available position and the needs of each respective Community.
  • Track and monitor budgeted and unbudgeted positions in terms of position management, including contractors.
  • Prepares job offer letters for successful candidates via DocuSign, including completion of background checks.
  • Analyze, recommend, and document improvements to full cycle internal recruitment processes to create greater efficiencies while enhancing the overall candidate experience and employee retention rates.
  • Support the new hire onboarding process including facilitating new hire orientation sessions (Welcome to Silvera). Attends and participates in career fairs and special events.
  • Work collaboratively with Employee Scheduler to ensure floater and casual employees are available for all Silvera for Seniors communities. Prepares monthly reports for Human Resources Lead on recruitment metrics.
  • In coordination with the Manager, TA, develop KPI\'s and related reporting metrics for the tracking and evaluation of progress against manpower / resourcing plans; identifying hiring trends and issues specific too hard to fill positions / disciplines.
  • Facilitate pre-employment background, criminal and other pre-employment screening, and testing, as required for the role.
  • Constantly looking for opportunities to improve the way Silvera for Seniors operates to become a high-performing team.
  • When required, work with external agency partners to develop MSA\'s when filling complex, hard to fill or senior level recruitment requirements.
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES - HUMAN RESOURCE COORDINATOR
  • Assists Human Resources Lead with human resources projects and activities. Performs and functions as a resource on HR Projects as assigned. Attends community staff meetings.
  • Support the day-to-day administration of Human Resources activities (coach, counsel managers/supervisors on all employee matters including performance management, employee relations and terminations).
  • Investigate, document, and resolve employee issues in a timely manner in conjunction with the HR Lead.
  • Coordinate with the Learning and Development Lead to facilitate HR training sessions such as Welcome to Silvera (WTS) orientation, HR 101: Overview and HR 201: Recruitment.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ideally five years of full cycle, high-volume hourly recruitment proficiently using an ATS, preferably Breezy.
  • A Bachelor\'s Degree in Business, Commerce or Human Resources is highly preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may also be considered.
  • A strong team player able to effectively collaborate with a diverse number of key stakeholders involved in the recruitment process. Familiarity with best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience using various sourcing platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed.
  • Proven experience in developing and conducting behavioral based interviews.
  • Solid organizational skills with attention to detail; able to multi-task and prioritize time sensitive tasks.
  • Strong MS Office skills combined with excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledgeable about Canadian and Alberta employment standards and OHS legislation are an asset.
  • This is an in office-based position working Monday to Friday from 8 am to 4 pm. Occasionally there may be a requirement to work after hours to support and attend recruitment events.
  • CPHR designation or actively working towards is considered an asset.
