Job Summary

The To-go Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience for guests who prefer takeout services. This position requires a friendly and efficient individual who can manage orders, communicate effectively with customers, and maintain high standards of food service. The To-go Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing orders and ensuring that all items are prepared and packaged correctly for customer pickup. Aid in the bussing of tables and seating of dine in patrons.

Duties

Greet guests warmly and assist them with their to-go orders, ensuring a positive customer experience. Accurately enter orders into the POS system, including any special requests or modifications. Prepare food items for takeout, ensuring quality and presentation meet restaurant standards. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of orders. Handle phone calls professionally, providing information about menu items and taking orders as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the to-go area, including packaging supplies and condiments. Provide excellent guest services by addressing any questions or concerns promptly. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Skills

Strong guest service skills with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred. Proficient in using POS systems, particularly Micros POS, for order processing. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with effective phone etiquette. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Food service experience is a plus but not required.
