Independent Contractor Job Opportunity: Part-Time Martial Arts Instructor

$22/hour + $800 monthly stipend (September-June)

About the Role:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced

Independent Contractor Martial Arts Instructor

to deliver part-time Taekwondo instruction and provide safe transportation for students as part of our after-school program. This role is ideal for a self-motivated professional passionate about youth development and martial arts education.

Key Details:

Hourly Rate:

$22/hour (1099 contractor)

Weekly Hours:

17.5 hours

Monthly Stipend:

$800 (September through June)

Schedule:

Afternoon and early evening hours; flexibility based on program needs

Scope of Work:

Instruct students in Taekwondo in a structured, supportive environment Foster safety, respect, and discipline in every class Maintain attendance records and monitor student progress Assist with belt testing, events, or demonstrations Safely transport students from school sites to training locations

Contractor Requirements:

Kukkiwon Certification - 3rd Dan or higher (Required)

Valid driver's license

and clean driving record

Experience transporting students safely for after-school or youth programs

Recent Vulnerable Sector Check (completed within the last 12 months)

Must follow all applicable transportation and child safety regulations Access to a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting students, or willingness to drive a program-provided vehicle (if applicable) Strong interpersonal communication, time management, and classroom leadership skills Prior martial arts instruction experience strongly preferred Must pass background and driving checks as required

This is a

1099 Independent Contractor

position Contractor is responsible for their own taxes, insurance, and benefits Contractor must provide appropriate attire and training equipment Transportation reimbursement or vehicle may be provided, based on program structure
