About the Role

Yukon Protective Services is seeking

highly professional and proactive Tactical Security Guards

to join our elite team for upcoming high-profile and public-facing assignments.
These roles require individuals who can think on their feet, handle pressure with calm authority, and demonstrate excellent situational awareness and communication skills.

As part of our tactical division, you will be responsible for maintaining safety, enforcing protocols, and managing diverse environments where

crowd control, quick response, and professionalism

are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain a strong, visible presence and ensure site safety at all times Monitor, assess, and de-escalate potential disturbances with professionalism and tact Conduct access control, perimeter patrols, and bag checks as assigned Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies promptly and effectively Work collaboratively with teammates, supervisors, and local authorities Write accurate incident and daily activity reports Uphold company standards of conduct, uniform, and communication at all times

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid

Ontario Security Guard License

(mandatory) Minimum

1 year experience

in: Tactical or high-risk guard assignments Crowd control and public event security Verbal de-escalation and conflict resolution Physically fit and able to stand for long hours and manage dynamic situations Excellent verbal communication, situational awareness, and teamwork Ability to remain calm under pressure and make sound decisions quickly Must be available for

flexible shifts

-- including weekends, evenings, and holidays Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred (Assets & Advantageous Certifications)

Use of Force

and/or

Handcuff Certification

Smart Serve Certification

(for alcohol-permitted venues)

WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)

Health & Safety Awareness (MOL 4-Step Training)

First Aid & CPR Level C

Prior experience in transit hubs, events, or construction environments

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
