Are you committed to protecting your community? Blackbird Security is hiring Tactical Security Guards in Barrie, ON for a variety of retail sites.
What you will do
- Establish a strong security presence to deter crime and theft
- Identify, monitor, and approach subjects who may have unpaid merchandise
- Document theft and other security violations
- Patrol the premises, provide access control, and respond to emergencies in an appropriate and timely manner
- Perform safety and security duties with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity
- Complete incident reports and required documentation for all security incidents
- Identify potential security risks and respond accordingly
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients, customers, and patrons
- Respond to emergencies and escalate to law enforcement agencies as required
- A Valid Security License
- A keen interest in asset protection
- Willing to stand/ patrol for the duration of the shift
- Previous security experience in a retail environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to attend meetings and improve skills
- Ability to work without close supervision
- Must be willing and comfortable to stop theft
- Experience with arrests and detaining shoplifters
- Use of Force Certification is an asset
