Wilson Middle School - Math, Science, PE and Options Teacher - Grade 8

FTE: 1.0 \xe2\x80\x93 Temporary Contract The expected start is February 16th, 2023 and will complete on June 29th, 2023. Professional Competencies Lethbridge School Division is looking for individuals who demonstrate:

Subjects Wilson Middle School is seeking a Grade 8 Math, Science, Physical Education and Options Teacher. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, an energetic team player who possess the following:

• Has the ability to work with children with a wide variety of learning needs using differentiated instruction and the development of individualized student programs.
• Has the ability and belief to work within an inclusive environment.
• Possesses a good understanding of critical thinking.
• Ability to build strong relationships with staff, students and the school community.
• An understanding of the Middle School philosophy.

Requirements

• Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

Conditions of Employment: In order to ensure and maintain a safe and secure working and learning environment, applicants new to Lethbridge School Division who are offered employment must provide:

• A police information check; including Vulnerable Sector Check from Police Services or an RCMP detachment that does not have any charges or convictions.
• A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
• Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver\xe2\x80\x99s licence, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. If one cannot be provided, a new card must be obtained and proof of application provided within three days of hire.
• Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee\xe2\x80\x99s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
