Epicor Kinetic ERP system
, and other integrated business applications. You'll bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, driving continuous improvement and supporting our operational goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Analysis & Design:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Epicor Kinetic ERP and other integrated business systems.
Collaborate with business users (e.g., Operations, Finance, Sales) to gather and analyze requirements for system enhancements, new functionalities, and process improvements.
Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical specifications.
Conduct feasibility studies and impact analyses for proposed system changes.
Custom Solution Development & Modernization:
Develop custom solutions and enhancements either integrated with or directly within Epicor Kinetic ERP to meet specific operational needs and improve business processes.
Migrate or enhance existing VBA-based solutions to modern, scalable platforms and programming languages, ensuring business continuity and improved efficiency.
Develop and customize Epicor Kinetic modules, dashboards, reports (SSRS), BPMs (Business Process Management), UBAQ (Updatable BAQs), and integrations using Epicor's development tools.
Write efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code primarily in C#, Python, and JavaScript (including React for front-end development where applicable).
Perform data migration, data cleansing, and data validation activities as needed.
Data Reporting & Visualization:
Develop insightful reports and interactive dashboards using data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, to provide key business insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources to support reporting needs.
System Implementation & Deployment:
Lead or assist in the implementation of new software, modules, and functionalities within Epicor Kinetic and other business systems, from initial setup through go-live.
Configure and adapt new system components to fit specific business workflows and requirements.
Manage system deployment and cutover activities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Support & Maintenance:
Provide ongoing technical support, troubleshooting, and issue resolution for Epicor Kinetic and related business systems.
Perform system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT) coordination, and quality assurance to ensure solutions meet business requirements and are defect-free.
Stay current with Epicor Kinetic updates, new features, and industry best practices.
User Training & Documentation:
Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs and materials for end-users on new and existing system functionalities and optimized workflows.
Provide ongoing support and guidance to users, ensuring effective adoption and utilization of systems.
Maintain comprehensive system documentation, including technical specifications, user manuals, and training materials.
Project Management & Collaboration:
Participate in and lead small to medium-sized IT projects related to ERP implementation, upgrades, and enhancements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and IT colleagues to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications
Education:
Relevant University Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Applications/Systems Developer or Systems Analyst, with a strong focus on ERP or other complex business systems preferred.
Proven hands-on experience with ERP, Epicor Kinetic ERP is highly preferred and a significant asset.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., MRP, production scheduling, quality control, inventory management, supply chain) is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in SQL (querying, stored procedures, SSRS reporting).
Strong programming skills in C#, Python, and JavaScript.
Experience with React or other modern frameworks for front-end development.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
Experience with VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) and a strong understanding of its usage in business applications.
Familiarity with Epicor's development tools (e.g., Application Studio, BAQ Designer, BPM Workflow Designer, SSRS Report Builder).
Knowledge of REST APIs and integration methodologies.
Understanding of relational database concepts.
