Systems Test Engineer

Quantum provides OEM, R&D and Contract Engineering services to the oil and gas industry with a primary focus on creating new technology to aid in drilling and completions. Quantum's custom solutions combine robust mechanical performance with advanced electronic data and sensing.

We have an immediate need for a Systems Test Engineer / Technician in our Calgary Alberta office.

The ideal candidate will have:

A positive attitude who works well in a dynamic team environment A minimum of 5 years experience in system-level testing or related roles. Strong experience in developing and executing test cases and test plans. Familiarity with defect tracking systems and methodologies. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Duties:

The successful candidate(s) will carry out various tasks related to MWD telemetry and downhole sensor systems testing in a fast paced collaborative team setting. The responsibilities of this role include:

Design, implement, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and procedures. Conduct system-level testing, including integration, validation, regression, and performance testing. Clearly documenting test results and manage defects through tracking tools, ensuring timely resolution. Collaborating closely with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to identify system requirements and validate solutions. Analyzing test data and providing meaningful insights and recommendations to improve system performance and reliability. Developing automated test scripts and tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy of testing procedures. Ensuring compliance with company standards and quality guidelines

Preferred Qualifications

Accredited Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computing Science with emphasis on communication systems and embedded systems. Orextensive experience as a Systems Test Technician with a proven track record of enhancing developing and implementing system test protocols Working knowledge of automated testing frameworks and tools. Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (Python, Java, C++).
