Key Responsibilities




Own the photocontamination and optics damage evaluation for a high power UV optical system.


Draft requirements for cleanliness for UV optical systems to enable sufficient lifetime, including material dependent outgassing, purge gas purity/concentration, diagnostic features, and cleaning processes during component manufacturing.


Set up a laboratory to validate requirements and evaluate candidate optics/optical coatings by controlled exposure of materials to UV light and measuring induced contamination.


Collect samples and work with external partners to evaluate chemical composition during the product development process to validate cleanliness.


Support System Integration during the assembly and testing phase to enforce photocontamination best practices.

Functional Knowledge



Deep understanding of photochemistry Knowledge of material characterization techniques related to photochemistry, such as gas chromatography - mass spectrometry Familiarity of surface and bulk material damage processes associated with exposure to laser radiation.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.


For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
