Job Title: Systems Analyst - Senior
Location: London, ON (Hybrid)
Duration: 540 days+ Possible extension
Must Have:

  • 5-10+ years' experience as a systems analyst.
  • Experience with the projects related to 24x7 critical environments and operations,
  • Experience working on the PSRN project
  • Understanding of emergency health services including ambulance communications.
Description
  • Capture business requirements, assess technical features and capabilities to create and update business rules based on the requirements
  • Provide Data Science services including Data Cleansing and Data Analytics
  • Develop dynamic data visuals, dashboards and custom reports as required, applying Microsoft Technologies, including Power BI
  • Conduct testing, integration and deployment of each developed solution
  • Document application changes & enhancements to existing features and new features as per approved requirements and design direction
  • Review and understand application changes and patches and system architecture of the EHS systems, and deploy updates as required and can support scalability requirements
  • Provide realistic work estimates to support project planning
  • Use enterprise Service Management Toolsets e.g. Remedy in order to manage encryption related tickets
  • Respond to and co-ordinate encryption activities, between clients & vendor appointments based on approved and scheduled Incident, Task and Work Order Records.
  • Update tickets and the CMDB to document the activities (e.g. Key management, removals, etc.).
  • Perform Audit activities as defined by the Radio Operations Manager.
  • Support development of the PSRN training material to define the e-learning modules, tests and interactive elements as well as any maintenance and support as required.
  • Converting PSRN training material from various formats (SWAY, Word, Power point, videos, etc.) to SCORM files using Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline.
  • Support the upload of SCORM files to multiple LMS environments (e.g. Moodle) which should include testing and piloting.
  • Create Documentation for the purpose of training other technical IT Staff to support the deployment.
  • Work with Microsoft Windows, Desktop and Laptop workstation support, Multiple LMS environment (e.g Moodle) experience,
  • Create data sources using SharePoint Lists and NoSQL databases.
  • Use structured methodologies, design best practices, and implement changes that is of quality, and clearly documented. Assure the proposed application(s) should function as required, without any defects and assure the application operates with the appropriate systems and other peripherals as identified

Skills:
Technology and Analysis: 35 %
  • 5+ years' experience as a systems analyst
  • Knowledge of systems analysis and design methods and techniques to develop system solutions and to manage servers and applications
  • Demonstrated knowledge of testing and implementation methods and practices for testing and acceptance
  • Experience with systems and business operational disciplines and processes; skills in negotiation, conflict and problem resolution, change management and project coordination; current knowledge in new technologies and trends that may benefit emergency health services.
  • Knowledge of server and network technologies, hardware and facilities requirements (data centers) along with IT security policies to identify and evaluate IT options for clients and to design, develop and implement technology solutions
  • Experience with creating and managing data sources (SharePoint Lists, NoSQL database, etc.).
  • Experience creating custom reports, implementing change management and auditing data.
  • Experience with database integration
  • Experienced with developing and maintaining interactive e-learning using Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline to convert training materials created via SWAY, PowerPoint, etc. into SCORM files (e.g. Moodle LMS compatible format); this material includes content, videos and interactive functionality
Analytical and Communication: 35%
  • Understanding of emergency health services in Ontario including ambulance communications.
  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems including Moodle from a content development perspective
  • Understanding of databases (SharePoint Lists, NoSQL database, etc.)
  • Understanding of Microsoft technologies
Project Management and Coordination Skills: 15%
  • Knowledge of project management methodology, analytical tools and processes, and tendering process to support projects and development of project plans.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills to assess business and technology requirements, evaluate the functionality of new software and hardware
  • Experience in working on multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience in working on multi-year projects
Industry Experience: 15%
  • Microsoft Technology certifications an asset
  • Moodle Experience an asset
  • Experience with the Public Safety agencies and its stakeholder would be an asset
  • Experience with the projects related to 24x7 critical environments and operations
