R\xc3\xbcmi is a bright new member of the ATCO family and operates 3 lines of business under the R\xc3\xbcmi umbrella: R\xc3\xbcmi Products & Services, ATCOenergy and Blue Flame Kitchen. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Operations, Fulfillment, Forecasting & Support (OFFS), the Energy Billing Systems Analyst (EBSA) is a key, hands-on role, primarily responsible for working with ATCOenergy Business groups to ensure successful delivery of key projects related to our Mass Market Energy Billing System (EBS) to enhance our profitability, competitiveness, and differentiation within Alberta\xe2\x80\x99s retail electricity & natural gas energy markets. What you\xe2\x80\x99re great at: Operations & Development:
  • Learning complex systems, monitoring batch processing, ensuring accurate outputs
  • Gaining expert level understanding of the Alberta retail energy marketplace including pertinent Acts, Regulations, guidelines and competitive landscape
  • Gaining a deep understanding of Customer experience, work with the Product Manager to identify and fill product gaps generate new ideas that grow market share, improve Customer experience and increase profitability
  • Assisting the Business in gathering customer requirements including Products & Pricing, Call Center & Call Center Support, Marketing, Finance, translate product strategy into detailed requirements
  • Working closely with the Product Manager, IT vendors and internal Teams to deliver with quick time-to-market
Service Delivery:
  • Participating in EBS Incident resolution when required, at the direction of the Manager, Service Delivery
  • Assist in creating and monitoring Incident tickets in affected vendor systems
  • Assist in upkeep of the EBS documentation library for all vendor products resulting from changes required to resolve an incident
  • Assist Senior Admins and the Product Manager in proactively identify and manage changes required to prevent serious incidents from occurring, through rigorous root cause analysis
Releases:
  • Participate in forward planning the release windows and maintenance cycles of the EBS, to minimize impact on retail operations
  • Participate in Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
  • Participate in the development of Deployment and Implementation Plans
  • Continually work towards making improvements in the release process
  • Assist the Go-Live activities including the execution of the deployment Plans and checklists
  • Assist in maintaining a release repository and managing key information such as build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists
Quality Assurance :
  • Daily QA activities to monitor invoice production, and the accurate application of billing rules
  • Assist with identifying and resolving system errors and process gaps
What you have:
  • Undergraduate Degree in Information Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, or similar field
  • 1-2 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience with large-scale billing platforms, including work with hardware, software and Cloud based solutions
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills, and an improvement-focused mind able to challenge the norm
  • Both verbal and written communication skills are critical
  • You can multi-task and work effectively across a cross-functional team while supporting multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Comfortable with job duties that will change and develop as the business grows

This role is located in Calgary. We typically collaborate together, in-person/on-premises. We will also set you up for flexible home-based work, however the expectation is weighted to an in-person, up-close and personal experience! Participation in our after hours on-call rotation (once you\xe2\x80\x99re fully qualified) is mandatory. The rotation has on-call shifts weeknights (4 PM to 8 AM), weekends and may also include Statutory holidays.
