This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) that operates on an optionalCompressed Work Week schedule with one earned day off during every three week period. Normal office hours are Monday to Friday though scheduled and unscheduled early morning, evening and weekend hours will be required in order to minimize service disruptions.

Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager, IT Application Services and working with minimal supervision, the Systems Analyst provides expert level technical support, programming, systems analysis/design and systems administration for the College's enterprise software applications including but not limited to, Ellucian Colleague and associated services, BrightSpace LMS and supporting systems, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SQL Server/Reporting Services, InfoSilem EnCampus, Datacard ID, SIRSIDynix, Clockwork, Perceptive Content, Nebraska Bookstore software and College web sites. The Systems Analyst is aware of the Mission and Values of North Island College, incorporating and practicing the values in all work performed.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Provide technical support for enterprise software applications utilizing the college's service desk system;
2. Provide system administration for the various enterprise software application environments including application, user, database, operating system and server hardware configuration;
3. Perform systems analysis and design in the various enterprise application environments in support of the college's information management needs;
4. Create and maintain code, system configuration, and technical documentation for the College's enterprise applications and network operating system environments;
5. Promote collaboration and provide technical direction to IT support team members.
6. Provide support for the College's reporting needs utilizing information from multiple sources;
7. Research independently and contribute as a team member on solutions to the College's information technology needs;
8. Undertake ongoing professional development through independent research as well as formal training;
9. Design, implement and maintain software systems to augment the automation and/or efficiency of business processes. These processes include user creation and lifecycle maintenance, assignment of fine grained role-based authorization and permissions, and batch data transfer across disparate systems to ensure optimal data currency generally driven by business information and supporting systems;
10. Research, design, install, maintain and administer College-wide application servers deployed as database servers, web servers and application servers that fall within the scope if the IT Application Services department;
11. Design, implement and maintain procedures for system backup, disaster recovery and security procedures for systems that the IT Application Services department maintains and supports;
12. Interact with vendors, contractors and Government agencies to secure services, products and transfer of knowledge;Perform other related duties as requested by the Manager, IT Application Services.
13. Provide support on an escalated basis for the IT department and all College-wide employees.
Required Education & Experience
1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and additional technology specific education/training (e.g. Ellucian and Microsoft courseware) or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience;
2. More than five years recent and related experience in enterprise software (e.g. ERP) programming and administration (ideally Ellucian Colleague)
3. Experience and demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft SQL Server/Reporting Services, Windows Server, SharePoint, Active Directory, Exchange, Powershell, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, IIS, ASP.NET, Responsive Design (Bootstrap) and C#
Required Knowledge Skills & Abilities
1. Detailed knowledge and experience in relational database concepts, database administration/programming and web application administration/development;
2. Excellent analytical, organizational, research and complex problem-solving abilities;
3. Demonstrated ability to perform consistently under pressure (project deadlines, quality of service constraints etc.);
4. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, a strong customer service attitude and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to varying levels technical aptitude;
5. Must enjoy working in a collaborative team based environment in both leadership and support capacities;
6. Self-motivated and focused with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a time sensitive environment;
7. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in application programming, system administration and reporting in the Ellucian Colleague environment is considered a valuable asset.
9. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in current application software architecture (e.g. n-tiered solutions).
10. Experience in the design, administration and management of server systems infrastructure and server virtualization.
11. Ability to plan, implement and guide projects with a College wide scope.
12. Work outside of normal working hours is required to minimize service disruptions to both students and the college.
13. Ability to move, carry and install equipment in locations which may be physically restrictive and according to WCB standards.
