We are currently seeking a highly motivated Systems Administrator to provide Level 2 Technical Support to our customer using a suite of tools designed to provide seamless onsite and remote support experience for the end users. This role is primarily onsite, with some remote work as applicable.

What you will do
Provide Tier 2 technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve escalated service desk tickets, ensuring minimal downtime.
Manage and maintain Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and user account administration.
Lead and support employee onboarding and offboarding activities, ensuring systems access and security compliance
Install, configure, patch, and upgrade operating systems, applications, and system components
Configure and maintain servers, storage systems, and virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
Implement and monitor network security measures, including firewalls and endpoint protection.
Perform advanced system checks, patch management, and disaster recovery planning.
Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
Collaborate with senior administrators on infrastructure projects and improvements.
Ensure compliance with IT security standards and best practices.

A Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
5+ years of experience in systems administration
Strong working knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration
Experience supporting virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper-V, or similar)
Strong understanding of hardware components, servers and peripherals
Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, access controls, and system hardening
Experience with backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
Experience with Desktop Operating Systems (Windows, MacOS)
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Demonstrated success working in a team-based environment
Strong attention to detail
