To work alongside our ambitious R&D team in developing next-generation digital health solutions, we are seeking an engaged and motivated:

System Design Engineer

Under the supervision of the VP Engineering, you will work on a new product line for home monitoring of asthma patients. More specifically, you will:

  • Analyze data from individuals both healthy and with various respiratory pathologies in order to optimize the algorithms for calculating resistance parameters, and determine the applicable health conditions for monitoring with the product;
  • Optimize the mechanical and electronic design of the product to minimize its size and production costs while ensuring ease of use;
  • Develop and maintain a complete technical file on the product development, including documents related to planning, requirements, specifications and verification of software development;
  • Actively participate in tasks that include product conceptualization, prototyping, test and evaluation, and design for manufacturing; and
  • Maintain rigorous documentation of the design process and to develop product specifications, test specifications, and test procedures to ensure that products comply with the design control process as defined by ISO and FDA guidelines and the company\'s internal QA procedures.
Requirements
Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in Biomedical Engineering with 5-8 years of experience with:
  • Experience in patient data analysis and medical device optimization;
  • Knowledge of CAD software, Solidworks or similar;
  • Knowledge of Matlab or other numerical analysis tools;
  • Experience with regulatory environment, e.g. ISO 13485, IEC 62304, etc., for assembling a technical file for regulatory submissions;
  • Highly organized, excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure; and
  • Excellent technical writing skills;
  • Good communication and teamwork skills;
  • Excellent command of English and French.
Assets
  • Knowledge of respiratory mechanics;
  • Experience in designing simple electronic PCBs with firmware
  • Experience in designing wireless technologies (Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, NFC or LTE) ;
