Provide technical pre-sales support to the sales force on hybrid systems automation architectures to help accelerate sales growth and increase opportunities conversation rate.
Obtain detailed requirements and constraints from the customer, assist the customer in defining the best implementation (validate, optimize, and differentiate) of the selected system architectures.
Explain the technical advantages and disadvantages of the proposed architecture(s).
Select the most appropriate "Tested Validated and Documented Architecture" (TVDA ) documents to meet the customers\xe2\x80\x99 requirements. Adjust and optimize the architecture(s) most appropriately to meet the customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs.
Act with a commercial attitude
Understand the end-user customers and their business
Prepare presentations, trainings and lunch & learn sessions for Industrial Automation Distributors (IADs), System Integrators (SIs) and End Users.
Propose an optimum architecture according to the customers\xe2\x80\x99 needs providing a clear explanation to the sales force and customer the strengths and weaknesses of the solutions communicating the differentiating elements in a simple and convincing way.
Main Responsibilities:
The System & Architecture Expert (SAE) is responsible for designing architectures for end users and pre-sales support for the Sales Organization supporting the entire sales process from opportunity to order. Other job essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Pre-sales support
Visit customers together with the sales force
Prepare and make technical presentations
Assist in closing the deal by providing differentiating elements to sales for the commercial argumentation
Assist and support System Integrators for their technical sales requests and project opportunities and help win business.
Expert support, technical knowledge, and customer service
Participate in technical trainings from globlal team and follow the proposed SAE certification path
Build demos to help the customer visualize the main solution concepts (POC - proof of concept)
Create value by advising the customer on advanced issues (Principles, feasibility, limits & constraints, performance, etc.)
Promote the complete EcoStruxure Plant solutions in terms of strengths and weaknesses and possibilities
Develop required technical and commercial argumentation documents
Maintain strong internal relationships
Work closely with sales team, SAE team, and Product Application Experts (PAEs) nationally
Share Success Stories and/or Best practices within Schneider community
Support cross country opportunities
Qualifications: What qualifications will make you successful?
Degree in electrical-control engineering or technical diploma in industrial automation
5+ years of relevant experience in design and implementation of industrial automation solutions
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI, and SCADA (Schneider Electric ExoStruxure Plant solution & modicon M580/M340 PLCs experience is preferred)
Experience with networks and industrial communication protocols, including Ethernet technology
Functional knowledge of English and French is required to carry out their scope of work, including working with stakeholders located in Quebec, other Canadian provinces and internationally
