System Administrator (Windows & Mac) Position Overview

As a System Administrator (Windows & Mac), you will be responsible for maintaining and improving the availability, scalability and performance of internal systems used by Guestlogix to create, maintain, and support our corporate infrastructure and stakeholders. You will collaborate with your teammates and our company at large to improve our office network, servers, teleconferencing, phone, email, PC and Mac workstations, and more. You\'ll also join our after-hours support list.

Your Responsibilities/Deliverables as our System Administrator (Windows & Mac) will consist of

• Take ownership of internal help desk
• Maintain IT infrastructure including networks and systems
• Keep asset management up to date
• Lead various IT projects
• Troubleshoot common office equipment
• Work with external vendors
• Provide after hour support and perform maintenance when needed

What you have:

• 5 years of Windows, Mac and Linux system administration including responsibility for multi office technology performance and availability.
• A deep curiosity that motivates you to keep on top of technical trends and informs your ability to suggest tools and approaches to interesting problems.
• The ability to empathize with and communicate clearly to all the other parts of the business.
• Familiarity with some of the software we use: Windows Server, Active Directory, CentOS, GitHub, nginx, Apache, HAProxy, MySQL, AWS/Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Gsuite, Ring Central, Asset management tools, Cisco switches and Sophos security appliances.
• A strong understanding of system interdependence.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Experience working in a startup environment.

• Able to work independently and a team player
• Take initiative and accountable

System Administrator (Windows & Mac) Bonus Skill Set

• Certified in ITIL v3
• Network security experience (Penetration tests, vulnerability scan)

System Administrator (Windows & Mac) Education:

• An undergraduate or college degree in Computer Science
