We are looking for a Systems Administrator to ensure our platforms are
secure, licensed correctly, cost-optimized, patched, and operating to our internal standards
, while working closely with Service Desk and Project teams to ensure smooth onboarding, upgrades, and controlled change delivery.
You will be the technical owner of our systems layer--preventing recurring issues, eliminating "whack-a-mole" tickets, and enabling the Service Desk to operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
Platform Ownership & Optimization
Audit, maintain, secure, and optimize multi-tenant IT platforms
Manage licensing, cost controls, renewals, and vendor relationships
Standardize configurations across clients and environments
Design and maintain secure, scalable reference architectures
Security, Patching & Stability
Plan, test, and deploy patches, updates, and upgrades across systems
Coordinate changes with Service Desk to avoid ticket spikes
Identify and remediate root-cause issues (network, server, cloud)
Improve platform resilience, monitoring, and alerting
Client Onboarding & Infrastructure Upgrades
Work with Project Management to onboard new clients into standard platforms
Lead technical upgrades to bring inherited infrastructure to MSP standards
Support migrations, integrations, and platform consolidation efforts
Cross-Team Collaboration
Notify service desk regarding upcoming changes and maintenance windows
Communicate known platform issues and remediation plans
Identify recurring ticket patterns requiring systemic fixes
Provide escalation support and technical guidance as needed
Manage licensing, cost controls, renewals, and vendor relationships
Standardize configurations across clients and environments
Design and maintain secure, scalable reference architectures
Requirements
3-5+ years' experience in an MSP or IT services environment.
Strong skills in
Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Azure.
Solid understanding of
networking
(firewalls, VLANs, VPNs, switches, wireless).
Experience with
cloud migrations and server implementations
.
Familiarity with PSA/RMM tools (ConnectWise, Autotask, N-able, Datto, etc.).
Strong troubleshooting and escalation skills for desktops, servers, and networks.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA Network+/Security+, Cisco, etc.) are an asset.
Work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
Identify and resolve systemic infrastructure issues
Manage change at scale without disrupting service desk operations
