Position Summary: A sociological examination of broad power dynamics that shape globalization and social relations. Different perspectives will be used to examine global capitalism and its uneven consequences for various societies of the world. Topics may include culture, consumption, environment, state sovereignty, corporate interests, and resistance to globalization.
