Job Title: Swim Instructor

:

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Swim Instructor to join our team! We are a physiotherapy clinic/gym with a warm therapeutic indoor pool, with classes running all year. As a Swim Instructor, you will provide professional and safe swimming instruction to students of various age groups and skill levels. This role requires patience, strong communication skills, and a passion for teaching and encouraging others.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach swimming lessons to children and/or adults, from beginner to advanced levels.

Plan, organize, and lead lessons that are age-appropriate and skill-level appropriate.

Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants.

Monitor students' progress and provide constructive feedback.

Administer swim tests and assist in assessing the students' skills.

Maintain accurate attendance records and lesson plans.

Enforce safety rules in and around the pool area.

Provide first aid or CPR when needed.

Communicate with parents about student progress and goals.

Provide report cards at the end of the student's session.

Assist with pool maintenance and cleanliness as needed.

Qualifications:

Certification in swimming instruction (e.g., Lifesaving Society).

Current CPR and First Aid certification.

Previous experience teaching swimming lessons is preferred but not required.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with children, adults, and diverse groups of people.

Patience, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Must be able to swim and demonstrate various swimming techniques.

Pay: Competitive pay

Expected hours: 8 - 10 per week

Must Have:

National Lifeguard Certification.

Lifesaving Society Swim Instructor Certification.

Standard First Aid and CPR C.
