Position Summary
The Faculty of Social Work at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following in person face to face (Saskatoon) course during the Winter 2026 semester:
SW 414 - Child Welfare Practice
This course provides an overview of historical, and current child welfare legislation, policies and services. Regional perspectives are highlighted. Child maltreatment is defined and identified. The effects of child abuse and neglect on the child, family, and society will be explored. Prevention, investigation and intervention approaches are covered.
The semester class period is from January 6, 2026 to April 13, 2026, with the final exam period running from April 16, 2026 - April 29, 2026.
Sessional Lecturers that are teaching in person classes are expected to teach 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester remote delivery via Zoom.
